BADMINTON - Action

For the second half of the first semester, I have decided to take up Badminton as my Action. I joined Badminton as I wanted to gain back my stamina. Due to Asthma, I have faced a lot of health problems and become very unfit.
My goals for this season are :-
1) To acquire and learn new techniques.
2) To increase my physical Stamina.
3) To learn coordination while playing in a team.
4) To improve my overall game play.

My first day at Badminton was very motivating. While practicing my overhead shots, Mr Pradeep (coach) kept on motivating me to perform better. While he was choosing teams for the matches, he chose me to play with seniors. This acted a motivating factor while playing a match. As, this was my first day playing, my muscles had started to cramp. I had to take frequent breaks. This made me realise, how important it is for me to improve my stamina. Over, the coming year, I hope to :-

  1. Increased their awareness of their strengths and areas for growth. –  Improve my gameplay.
  2. Undertaken new challenges.  Push myself to take on more strain and learn new moves.
  3. Worked collaboratively with others– Play matches with a partner. Be in sync and understand how to utilise the court space.
  4. Shown perseverance and commitment in their activities– Attend every class and improve my stamina.
  5. Considered the ethical implications of their actions– Make sure not to throw around my racket or knowingly injure someone.
  6. Developed new skills. –  Develop new service skills, utilising the court space properly and improve my game play.
